Senior Accountant

We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering timely and accurate financial results, with a particular focus on meeting reporting obligations to our creative partners. You’ll also contribute to strategic financial planning for our high-growth digital media company and help ensure that our financial operations run efficiently to support continued scaling.
What You’ll Do:
- Instrumental player in elevating the accounting and finance operations/infrastructure to allow us to scale new projects, products, and business lines
- Drive the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- Optimize and maintain our NetSuite system for accounting and reporting functions, with particular attention to granular revenue/expense reporting on a show by show basis
- Assist in the development and execution of reporting frameworks to our creative partners
- Preparation and/or review of monthly account reconciliations (including bank and credit card reconciliations), roll forwards and flux analysis to support strategic financial planning
- Partner with cross-functional teams (like our merch and content teams) to establish best practices to track spend accurately and efficiently to ensure financials results are reported properly
- Assist in managing AP, AR, prepaid, accruals, etc. processes, including identifying gaps in current workflows and proposing solutions to create more efficient operations
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements
- Ad hoc projects as needed for a dynamic, constantly evolving business
Who You Are:
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience within media, eCommerce, or merchandise industries
- Self-starter who wants to assume a high degree of ownership of their work product and be the driving force behind process development or re-engineering
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining an incredibly high attention to detail
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or economics
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Proficient in NetSuite (or another major ERP system)
- Excel-savvy and not afraid to dive into data, asking questions when there may be inconsistency in the numbers
- Highly organized, self-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- CPA or working towards CPA a plus
Salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 USD. Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases or bonus eligibility.
