Production Manager

We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Production Manager to support and help scale our growing network of podcasts and video productions. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping productions running smoothly by managing logistics, staffing, vendors, and schedules across multiple projects. You’ll assist in assembling contract and full-time crews, building and tracking budgets, and coordinating production needs from pre-production through delivery.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to operate comfortably in fast-moving production The ideal candidate is resourceful, collaborative, and has an existing network of production professionals across creative and technical disciplines. This role is based in New York City and requires the ability to work on-site.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate production logistics for podcasts, video shows, and digital content from pre-production through delivery, including schedules, call sheets, and run-of-show documents
- Support both in-studio and on-location productions, helping ensure shoots run smoothly, stay on schedule, and troubleshoot issues in real time
- Source, book, and coordinate contract crew across roles such as producers, shooters, editors, audio, lighting, and production assistants
- Manage production calendars, studio bookings, equipment rentals, and vendor coordination across multiple concurrent projects
- Assist with building and tracking production budgets, helping ensure projects stay aligned with scope and available resources
- Liaise with hosts, talent, producers, crew, and vendors to ensure clear communication and smooth coordination before and during productions
- Support production workflows and post-production timelines by coordinating assets, deliverables, and project needs across teams
Who You Are:
- 3–5+ years of experience in production coordination or production management, ideally within podcasts, digital media, or unscripted content
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple productions and deadlines simultaneously
- Solid understanding of studio environments, production equipment workflows, and digital video or podcast production processes
- Experience coordinating crews, vendors, and production logistics across pre-production, shoot days, and post-production
- Familiarity with building or tracking production budgets and managing resources efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced, startup-style environments with a willingness to handle both planning and hands-on logistics
- Based in the greater New York City area with the ability to work on-site and travel occasionally to support productions
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases or bonus eligibility.
